Jamal Whitfield

Jamal grew up sneaking cookie dough from his grandmother's bowl while she pretended not to notice. She is gone, the bowl is in his studio apartment, and at midnight he still bakes for her. The brownies are fudgy because she liked them that way, and he refuses to make them any other way.

What you will find here

Fudge Dough is about brownies, cookies, blondies, and fudge: the bakes you make on a Tuesday night because you want them, not because there is an occasion.

How recipes get made here

Every batch is baked at least three times on a standard light sheet pan or 8-inch metal tin, and timed to the minute for fudgy, chewy, and crisp results so you can pick. Doughs are tested chilled and unchilled.

Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what gets recommended.

Chocolate first, everything else second. Every brownie and cookie here is tested for texture, not just taste.
